| Last Saturday my brother-in-law asked me to go shooting with him an a friend of his. We went out past apache junction near the Superstitions and shot a 40mm, my little Ruger mach 3 .22, and an SKS. After shooting up an old microwave we found, we went geocaching. We found two caches and the latter of the two was found as dusk was leaving the night sky. We ended up hiking over a half mile through the cactus covered desert in pitch blackness. I luckily had a flashlight and so we used that most of the way. We came across quite a few scorpions like the one above. When we arrived back at his house around 9:30pm we watched a movie and then My wife and I headed back to mesa. I took out my small key chain black light to see if I could find any scorpions on our way to the car. We found several and my wife was very happy to get into the car as quickly as possible. I spent a good ten or fifteen minutes to get a good clear picture. This image was taken in complete darkness with only the aide of a miniature black light that worked amazingly well. |
